Register as a New Volunteer, click on the Volunteer Up button on the right. Fill out the form even if you get a message that you need to complete the waiver or training. We will check and coordinate your info, but we need your contact info in the both the waiver and Volunteer Up files.
Click on "READ Course Taking Instructions" and copy the Employee code,
Click on "TAKE Volunteer Course" and paste the code it into the Employee Code space.
Take the Volunteering on a Habitat Site course. This takes about 30 minutes, and a short quiz follows.
Once we receive verification, you will be allowed to sign up for work days.
Once your waiver and safety training are complete, your Volunteer Up file will be unblocked.
Keep in Mind: Each step above is actually taking you to a different web site, and it takes about a week for us to get all the information from all of the sites. Then we will open your Volunteer Up file so that you can sign up for work days. Thanks for your patience!

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have health insurance, you may not work on a Habitat construction site, but you are welcome to help on a committee, at an event, in the office or make lunches for other volunteers on site. This is Habitat policy due to the risk involved on build sites.

Groups and Volunteers without Internet can contact Volunteer Coordinator directly for paper forms.
YOUTH under age 18 must complete a youth waiver with a parent or guardian; click on the Youth Involvement tab to the left.
Each site has an experienced house leader who will call you if workday is canceled.
House leaders don't set schedules.
PLEASE-DO NOT just show up on site!
Typical day
TAKE TOOLS - hammers, nail pouch w/ hammer loop, utility knife, tape measure, gloves & pencils
Take lunch unless notified
Dress: work boots, sunscreen & hat for warm days, layers for cold weather
Arrive on site 7:45 am for 8 am - 3:00 pm workday
Check in w/ house leader... sign in book at house
Devotions & instructions first thing
There is water on site; take breaks and drink lots of water!
Tasks known early each week; may change with weather
House leader will instruct on tasks
Be flexible; jobs change each week
ASK for help; OFFER help; take breaks, especially on hot days
HELP CLEAN UP and most of all... HAVE FUN!
